My testimony.

 So, in my last post I talked about what is THE LEADER BLOG anyway. But now I want to share a little bit of my story-who is Jesus to me? How did He change my life?

 I´m going to start easily, I grew up in a non-christian home, Jesus was not a topic in our house...ever. Growing up at 11-13, I met a wrong group off people. Tried smoking at a early age and even thoughts of trying alcohol. At some point I sadly started self injuring. I was always sad for some reason. 

 But at 14 I found my current sport, powerlifting. Through that sport I met my best friend Kirke, she is my best friend to this day. I also met a boy who introduced me to God, I remember that night very clearly when I asked him how do you know that God is real? We talked for hours and that night I got hooked. I wanted to know God and learn about Him. Sadly that did not last for long.

 Soon enough things started to go downhill for me. My dad went to the hospital in a critical situation, he was put on drugs quickly, we didn´t know what was going on. After some while the doctors told us that we have to let my dad die or if in some kind of miraculous way he survived, he would be non functional. While all of this was happening I started having conflicts with people and that just dragged me down even more. 

 At some point I felt like I had lost myself. I did not know who I was anymore. I was not the same Kalli(my name) that I used to be. I started having suicidal thoughts and they were haunting me 24/7. I had super bad anxiety and the worst sleep of my life. Always being anxious if I was going to take my life or not. 

 But some day in March 2025 before school, I sat on the edge of my bed and I told Jesus: ,,Please take away this thought, I can´t feel those feelings anymore." Something in that prayer changed my life forever. I realised that I don´t have to carry that horrible thought, I realised that I have a calling, there is a plan for me. Sometimes I struggle but every time I remember...I am set free because of The Cross. 

 Today I am 16 years old and I am really blessed to know what is my purpose and I know that I don´t have to carry anything. Because He carried all of it, alone. I can happily say that Jesus saved my dying dad and today my dad
is a working man, a man who can do anything and is unstoppable. I have the best people around me, for example Kirke my best friend. She always picked up my calls when I was struggling. I have the most amazing family who I pray for every night for them to get also saved and experience this love of Jesus Christ. I am baptised with water and I have joined the most amazing church all thanks to God. 

 I really want this blog to affect people and help them realise that they are made in the image of God. I love you and Jesus loves you more. Amen.
